Engine carrier

993 115 021 53

Engine suspension Structural Safety 7 · Structural
Safety-critical part. This sits at level 7 (Structural) on the ten-point scale. A substitute part here carries consequences a trim piece does not: it needs engineering review, not a like-for-like appearance match.

Enhanced alternatives

None catalogued. No aftermarket replacement for this reference has been found and verified. That is a finding rather than a gap in research: for structural 993 carriers and brackets, the aftermarket largely does not exist, which is precisely what makes them reproduction candidates. Any reproduction here is a safety-level 7 part and needs a qualification programme, not a copied outline.

Explicitly inside the Turbo group, so Turbo fitment is proven rather than inferred. This is the reproduction case study in brief §21. Rennline builds a tubular replacement carrier for the 964/993, but it is explicitly non-Turbo — so the Turbo carrier still has no alternative. PET carries three carriers in total: -90 standard, -41 RS, -53 Turbo. No -54 exists in Kat 017.
