The public catalogue works without a user account and does not need an advertising cookie.
Essential forum session
Signing in to the forum sets pf_session. It contains a random session token, is marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax, and has a maximum age of 30 days. It is required to recognise the signed-in member and is removed when the member signs out.
Cloudflare
Cloudflare may apply infrastructure-level security mechanisms to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics, when enabled, is used for aggregate traffic and performance measurement. Cloudflare documents Web Analytics as cookie-free and says that it does not collect or use visitors’ personal data.
Advertising choices
Selected engine articles use Google AdSense and Google's published European consent message. The Google tag also loads here and on our privacy page so that you can revisit your choices. Advertising cookies and similar identifiers may be used for purposes such as ad selection, measurement and fraud prevention as described in that message. Its provider details explain the applicable storage durations. The consent manager stores your decision so it can be respected on later visits.
In Switzerland, the EEA and the United Kingdom, you can consent, refuse or manage purposes and providers. This pilot waits for consent information before requesting an ad and makes no ad request after refusal. Rejecting advertising cookies does not block access to the catalogue. Review or withdraw consent
The Google settings control loads when available for your region. If it cannot load, check whether your browser blocks Google scripts. No manual ad request is made while consent information is unavailable. You can also clear this site's stored data in your browser; that removes its saved preferences.
