# 935 cylinder-head research: controlled synthesis

Research session: 26-27 September 2026. English public edition: 28 September 2026.

The owner confirmed that the target is the original Wolfe `935-xtreme-cylinder-head.obj` scan. FVD 993 GT2 Evo photographs are comparison material only.

## Findings retained after review

- Wolfe describes a head made for a 935 race car and supplied as an OBJ scan. This supports the vendor designation, not the exact variant or physical scale. Source: https://www.wolfeclassics.com/shop/p/p-car-billet-cylinder-head-scan
- Wolfe calls the head billet. Xtreme describes its current programs as lost-wax cast RR350 aluminium with HIP processing. The difference remains unresolved for our particular part. Source: https://www.xtremecylinderheads.com/programs
- Porsche documents multiple 935 variants. The 935/78 used water-cooled four-valve heads; no evidence identifies our scan as that version. Source: https://newsroom.porsche.com/en/2026/history/porsche-heritage-moments-935-norbert-singer-timo-bernhard-42018.html
- Wolfe's separate K4 engine scan is not proven to be the source engine for this isolated head. Source: https://www.wolfeclassics.com/shop/p/p-car-935k4-engine-scan
- Wolfe lists two scanners, but the device, calibration and uncertainty of this specific capture remain unconfirmed. Source: https://www.wolfeclassics.com/services
- Xtreme advertises port/chamber digitisation and flow testing. Those capabilities are a lead for obtaining evidence, not measurements of our part. Source: https://www.xtremecylinderheads.com/ourshop

## Reconstruction status

285 small scan gaps were patched with 3,620 interpolated triangles. There are still 95,686 boundary edges. The derived CAD contains 22 circular profiles and 14 partial planar faces; it is not a complete solid head. Multiple profiles may describe different depths of one opening.

The scan's physical unit, scale, exact variant, material, cylinder register, stud pattern, valve/seat angles, chamber volume and hidden passages remain unknown. Reconstruction residuals in OBJ units are not certified millimetres. Interpolated patches are not recovered observations. No fitment, structural, thermal or manufacturing validation is claimed.

## Research execution and editorial review

24 OpenClaw agents used the same local Nemotron model, two at a time. Codex supplied initial public source URLs. The records show completed replies and successful web-fetch receipts for all 24 missions after eight retries. They are not 24 independent expert confirmations.

The English mission reports in this public archive are reviewed summaries, not verbatim translations or endorsements of the original model outputs. They explicitly identify unsupported conclusions. Original unapproved French outputs remain in the private project archive. Some Xtreme extractions were incomplete and some FVD requests returned HTTP 403.

Rejected claims include identifying the target as Baby or Moby Dick, transferring vehicle speed or bodywork data to head geometry, adding water passages based on historical context alone, interpreting workshop capability as available head geometry, and calibrating the scan with a virtual ruler.

## Questions for Wolfe and the manufacturer

1. What exact manufacturer, reference, revision and engine application identify the scanned head? Can its markings be photographed?
2. Does billet describe the actual manufacturing process of this particular part? What documents establish its material and treatment?
3. What unit and export scale were used for the OBJ? Provide physical reference dimensions, ideally independent checks in three directions.
4. Which scanner, calibration, surface preparation and mesh processing were used? Are the raw captures and native project available, and under what usage rights?
5. What are the measured cylinder-register, head-face, stud, intake, exhaust, cam-carrier and spark-plug interfaces, with datums and tolerances?
6. Are native port/chamber data, seat/guide dimensions and angles, chamber volume and internal oil-passage measurements available for this exact reference?

These questions were not sent to a supplier.

## Public archive boundary

The public archive contains research notes, execution metadata and project-authored code. Raw scans, scan-derived STEP/USD, vendor images and authentication state are excluded. Public redistribution rights for the geometry have not been established. The private GitHub archive retains the derived geometry and inspection renders.
